Obituary: Peter Provo, 59, of Stratford

Peter Provo, 59, of Stratford, beloved husband of Cruz Juanita (Davila) Provo, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in Stratford. Peter was born January 27, 1958 in Derby, CT, son of the late Perley and Shirley (Ryan) Provo and had been a lifetime area resident.

Peter loved listening to music, motorcycles, wrestling and football, but most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his two daughters, Cynthia (Provo) Ciarcia and her husband Joseph and Christine Provo-Searles and her husband Herald; eight grandchildren, Alyssa, Emily and Michael Mucherino, Tod and Bryttinie Turner and Ryan, Peter and Christina Searles; two brothers, John Provo and his wife Annette and Robert Provo and his wife Sherry and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Dickie and Perley.

Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Roman Catholic Church, 2110 Main St. Stratford, for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.

Friends may visit with his family Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
