Obituary: Richard Arthur Miller Sr., 66, of Stratford

Richard Arthur Miller Sr., 66, of Stratford, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 30, 2018. He was a successful Business Analyst working at People’s Bank, Health Net, and United Health Care until he retired. He then went on to continue his love and passion umpiring Baseball with his good friend Ed Matejek for many years. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and was always involved with sports whether it was coaching Soccer, Basketball, or Little League Baseball.

Richard was thrilled to find out that he had a granddaughter on the way who is due on May 4th of this year.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne of 42 years and his two sons Richie Jr., Ryan & his wife Vivian of Stratford.

He is the son of Anna Miller, 90 years old currently living in Huntington, CT and his father Arthur Miller who passed away at the age of 76 in February of 2000.

Rich is also survived by his 5 sisters Carol Ireland, Nancy Boyington, Cheryl Miller, Debbie Miller, & Bonnie Quesnel, and 1 brother Gary Miller, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may greet the Family on Tuesday April 3, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dennis & Darcy – Abiola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06614. Funeral Services will take place Wednesday April 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane Stratford, CT 06614. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
