Bob was a retired entrepreneur having owned and operated several business in the Stratford area.

Robert Connolly, 75, of Stratford, beloved husband of his adored wife, Alice (Atkins) Connolly, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his family.

Mr. Connolly was born October 19, 1942 in Bridgeport, son of the late Robert T. and Agnes (Reilly) Connolly and had been a life time area resident. Bob was a retired entrepreneur having owned and operated several business in the Stratford area. He loved spending time with his family and friends, was an avid golfer, a talented carpenter, a friend of Bill W, was active in town politics, a member of the Republican Town Committee and served as a Stratford Town Constable for many years.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his daughter, Stacy Marshall and her husband Robert of Stratford; one brother, Brian Connolly and his wife Dorothy of Shelton; two sisters, Judith McGuire and Maggie Cuff both of Shelton; two aunts, Therese and Elsie Reilly; a brother-in-law, James Atkins; a sister-in-law, Ruth Atkins and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his beloved son, Robert and his precious niece, Bridget McGuire.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass celebrated by Father Nicolas Pavia, on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. by meeting directly in Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Rd., Stratford.

Interment will be private.
