Obituary: Sandra E. Oross, 85, Of Stratford

STRATFORD, CT — (From Dennis & D'Arcy Funeral Home): Sandra E. Oross (Sondi), 85, of Stratford, beloved wife of Michael J. Oross, born Monday April 18, 1938, to George and Edith Webb of King Street, entered into rest on March 19, 2024.

She preferred to be called Sondi and was a 4th generation lifelong Stratford resident. She was a graduate of Stratford High School and studied at the Rittners School of Floral Design in Boston.

Professionally she was most proud of her time as a flight attendant with American Airlines during the late 60s. She had a deep creative streak as florist and a hairdresser.

She also expressed her creativity in baking, making Christmas ornaments, and was particularly fond of quilting and was a member Trumbull Peace Maker Quilt Guild. She volunteered her time at Bridgeport Hospital Surgery Recovery.

She loved animals and had a special bond with her late dog Hanna who she trained to be a service dog and visited nursing home residents.

In addition to her beloved husband of 57 years, she is survived by her sons Bryan Oross (Jana) and Glenn Oross and her grandson Myles Oross.
