Sandra Eileen Peterson (Carney), 73, of Stratford, beloved wife of Barry Peterson, entered into eternal rest on June 3, 2020, in her home with her loving family by her side. Sandy was born in Bridgeport to the late Ralph Carney Sr. and Lillian Botsford Carney.

Sandy worked in Stratford most of her life. She was currently employed at the Stratford Visiting Nurse Association, where she touched the lives of staff and visitors with her warm and welcoming demeanor. Sandy had a vibrant personality and a kind, generous heart that led her to be loved by countless family, friends, and acquaintances.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving son Harry Therien Jr. and his wife Mary of Stratford, and granddaughters Lauren Paz (Matthew) of Shelton and Jennifer Dalling (Trevor) of Monroe. Sandy was pre-deceased by her sister Carol Erwin and brother Ralph Carney Jr. Sandy is also survived by her beloved sister Judith Desrosiers (Ron) and brother Ron Carney (Cindy) and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private.
