‘Person Of Interest’ In Shooting At Stratford Bar Arrested
A suspect who exchanged gunfire with Bridgeport Police during a foot pursuit is a "person of interest" in the recent shooting of a bartender

STRATFORD, CT — A “person of interest” in connection to Tuesday night’s shooting of a Stratford bartender is in custody after exchanging gunfire with a Bridgeport police officer on Thursday morning, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Post reports the suspect, who hasn’t been identified, was arrested by Bridgeport Police after exchanging gunfire with an officer during a foot chase in connection to a shoe store robbery. The suspect was taken into custody on Chestnut Street in Bridgeport after collapsing from a wound on his side.
The suspect, who was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center, claimed he was shot by the officer but it hasn’t been confirmed by doctors, according to the Post. Sources told the Post that police believe the man is connected to the shooting at the Stratford bar, along with several other robberies that have occurred in Bridgeport.

A bartender at BAR in the Stratford Center was shot during a robbery on Tuesday night. A man entered the bar just before 7 p.m. and demanded money from the bartender while displaying a gun. The bartender complied and was then shot once in the abdomen, according to Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.
