Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Sikorsky Airport

One of the jet's engines failed on its way to Pennsylvania.

The plane that was forced to make an emergency landing at Sikorsky Airport Wednesday morning was a 7-passenger Cessna Citation jet that was about 20 minutes into its flight to Pennsylvania when one of its engines failed, according to the Connecticut Post.

The pilot radioed air traffic controllers at 7:50 a.m. that one of the engines had quit and determined the safest course of action was to return to the airport, according to the Post.

A plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Sikorsky Airport in Stratford Wednesday morning, WFSB 3 reports.

The plane, whose engine lost power, made a safe landing at 8 a.m. and thankfully there were no injuries, WFSB 3 reports.
