Wayback Burgers Opens New Location In Stratford

STRATFORD, CT — Wayback Burgers officially opened its new restaurant at 2850 Main Street in Stratford on Monday.

The fast-growing chain restaurant is known for its double bacon burgers and "hand-dipped" milk shakes.

The Stratford location is owned and operated by local franchisees Krishna and Sonny Desai and brings 40 new jobs to the area, according to a news release. Wayback Burgers of Stratford is their second location with the brand.

“After seeing the success and positive response at our first Wayback Burgers location, expanding with the brand was a natural next step," Krishna Desai said. “We’re excited to bring that same energy and dedication to Stratford. It’s a privilege to grow with a brand that continues to exceed expectations and aligns so closely with our values.”

The 1,561 square-foot restaurant will “offer guests the brand’s signature menu items in a lighter, brighter and elevated dine-in experience,” according the news release.

“Its modern kitchen will be visible through glass windows and a pass-through, allowing guests to watch their food being prepared,” the news release states. “Furnishings will include a variety of seating options, such as upholstered banquettes, booths, and floating community tables.”

Cheshire-based Wayback Burgers currently has locations in 36 states and offers “delicious and affordable menu items, served with a side of nostalgic hospitality nationwide,” according to the news release.

The hours of operation for Wayback Burgers of Stratford are Monday – Saturday 10:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.

To celebrate the opening day, Wayback is holding a special “Buy One, Get One Free Classic Burger” promotion all day on Monday, March 9, at the Stratford location.
