Popular Nightclub Closes In Stratford: Report

STRATFORD, CT — The signature sign officially came down on Wednesday and after hosting numerous local bands over the past 25 years, The Frog Pond in Stratford is no more, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports a new bar and restaurant called The Whiskey Barrel is scheduled to open in its place later this year.

The Whiskey Barrel is owned by Jose Tiago, who also owns the popular bar Tiago’s in downtown Bridgeport, according to the Post.
