Readers Theatre Summer Showcase 2018 at Stratford Library
The Square One Theatre Company and Stratford Library continues their annual Readers Theatre Summer Showcase in the Lovell Room.

The Square One Theatre Company and Stratford Library will continue their annual Readers Theatre Summer Showcase Thursday, June 28, at 7 p.m., in the library’s Lovell Room with a live, staged reading of BREADCRUMBS by Jennifer Haley. A writer battling dementia must depend upon a troubled caretaker in this drama by Jennifer Haley. This is the fourth of seven scheduled theatre readings that will continue at the library on weekly Thursdays through July 26. The readings are free and open to the public.
Last Thursday, Square One Theatre presented a staged reading of A BOY NAMED ADAM, a new play by Connecticut Critics Circle member Stuart J. Brown. Several members of the CCC attended the reading to offer feedback at the conclusion of the reading, and other members of the packed audience did so as well.
This play set in the present chronicles the marriage of Jake and Kate Roberts whose severely disabled son, Adam, has caused friction between the couple. After a series of troubling events, they must now decide whether to send Adam to a group home. The play was presented without an intermission.
