Relay For Life of Stratford is holding their First Luminaria Bash!

On March 3, 2016 in the Wooster Middle School cafeteria from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, we will be holding our first ever Luminaria Bash. Come purchase and decorate a Luminaria bag for $5.00 in honor or memory of someone you care about. You do not need to be on a team to participate. Anyone who wishes to have a Luminaria placed around the track at the event on Saturday, June 18th to Sunday, June 19th at Bunnell High School should join us.

No need to bring supplies! There are plenty of supplies available including stickers, feathers, sequins and sparkly things. We LOVE glitter! Bring a picture to put on the bag but we suggest a copy of the picture seeing as it will be outside overnight. Also it cannot be guaranteed that the picture will be returned. There will be a team available to help decorate the bag if help is needed.

The Relay For Life program is a community-based event where teams and individuals set up campsites at a school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team has at least one participant on the track at all times. Cancer survivors and caregivers take a celebratory lap after the survivor dinner. Last year, 248 people participated in Stratford an raised over $55,000 - all to support the American Cancer Society's mission to finish the fight against cancer once and for all.

If you know a survivor that should be invited to our survivor dinner have them sign up on our website which will ensure the right size T-Shirt. An invitation can also be requested for a survivor by sending us their name and address to stratfordctrelay@gmail.com or message us on our Facebook page.
