STRATFORD, CT — Two roads will be closed Wednesday in Stratford, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/MayorLauraHoydick/posts/10161800393290099" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">according to a Facebook post from Mayor Laura Hoydick</a>. Highview Drive and Seymour Street will be partially or fully closed from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The closures are the result of planned excavation, the post stated.

Over 160 local crafters and makers will be selling their handmade items including jewelry, crochet, décor, apparel, food products and more. In celebration of its 10th
anniversary, the event will have giveaways for the first 150 attendees, raffle prizes, Mother’s Day photo opportunities, dance demonstrations, free yoga classes, live music and food vendors. Admission is free. The event is sponsored by LeafFilter, Renewal by Andersen and Xfinity.

This is the Annual Asher’s Answer 5K Run/Walk in honor of&nbsp;<a href="https://ashersanswer.org/about/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Asher Nathaniel Gibson.</a>
All proceeds will be used to provide support to our non-profit organization, <a href="https://ashersanswer.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Asher’s Answer</a>, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide financial support to families of children with rare trisomies.
This year, there will be games and activities for children under age 13, so feel free to bring the entire family!!!
NOTE: For safety and security purposes, race participants must be at least 13 yrs of age. Children younger than that can still come and participate in various games/activities while their parents race, but cannot race. Infant and toddlers may race with their parents only if they are transported in strollers or strapped to parents (ie body carriers).
