Rollover Crash Closes Road In Stratford
A driver was extricated from a dump truck after a rollover crash that closed a road in Stratford, according to officials.
STRATFORD, CT — A driver was extricated from a dump truck after a rollover crash that closed a road Thursday afternoon in Stratford, according to officials.
Crews responded to River Road around 1:30 p.m. on the report of a dump truck rollover with the driver trapped inside the cab, according to a post on the Stratford Professional Firefighters IAFF 998 union’s Facebook page.
“The driver was semi-conscious and was treated by members of E4 and Tac 5,” officials wrote in the post. “She was then removed from the truck through the windshield and patient care was turned over to Stratford EMS.”

Officials said units will remain at the scene until the vehicle has been up righted and all fluids have been cleaned up.
River Road was closed Thursday afternoon, and officials are advised motorists to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
