Roommates Arrested on Prostitution, Drug Charges: Stratford Police
Police say the women were advertising prostitution on "Backpage.com" and also selling heroin and cocaine from their residence.
STRATFORD, CT — Two Stratford roommates face prostitution and drug charges after police executed a search warrant at their First Avenue residence. Police also arrested a Norwalk man who was at the residence after it was discovered that he had two active violation of probation warrants, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.
The Narcotics, Vice and Intelligence Unit, along with the assistance of the Bridgeport Police Department, executed the search warrant on Nov. 28 at the residence in the 200 block of First Avenue in Stratford. It was the second warrant execution at the residence since September, according to Eannotti.
Eannotti said that detectives learned that the resident, Ariel Perry, 46, and her roommate, Kathleen Cox, 31, were advertising prostitution on the website "Backpage.com.”

“The investigation revealed that Cox and Perry were selling heroin and cocaine from the residence as well as using it to prostitute,” Eannotti said in a press release. “Detectives seized heroin, cocaine, scales, paraphernalia and items related to prostitution. Cox was also found to have a fully extraditable warrant out of Kentucky for drug related offenses.”
Perry was charged with possession of heroin with Intent to sell, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell and prostitution. She was held on a $500,000 bond.

Cox was arrested and charged with possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, promoting prostitution and conspiracy to commit prostitution. She was subsequently released on a $100,000 bond.
A third person, Carlos Cordero, 47, of Norwalk, who was at the residence was arrested after it was revealed he had two violation of probation warrants. He was held on a $10,000 bond.
All three are scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on Dec. 8.
