School Records Set At Indoor Track Meets: Stratford High School Sports Roundup
Two school records were set during recent indoor track meets, along with updates on the Stratford boys basketball and wrestling teams.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford boys basketball team improved to 7-3 at the halfway point of the season with an impressive victory over Masuk on Tuesday night.
Nico Lubas led all scorers with a double-double, finishing with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Hayden Fabius added 12 points in the well-rounded team effort.

In indoor track and field, Stratford athletes had an outstanding week of competition. Zackary O’Toole highlighted the action by winning the 3200-meter race in a time of 9:50, shattering the school record by 37 seconds. His performance currently ranks as the 10th fastest time in Connecticut this season. The team competed at meets held at Bethel High School and Yale University, with most athletes showing noticeable improvements compared to earlier performances.

- Pat Booska qualifying for the State Meet in the 55m and 300m
- Mekhell Bell qualifying for States in the 55m and Long Jump
- Ashlyan Santos qualifying for SWCs in the 55m hurdles
- Hudson Lynch qualifying for SWCs in the 600m
At Yale, Kyra McClean finished second in a highly competitive field in the 55m dash, and Dyllan Asuncion placed 10th in the 1000m, breaking his own school record. Look for more impressive finishes as the team prepares for postseason competition.
The wrestling team was also in action this past Saturday at the New Milford High School Invitational. Tyler Curtiss captured first place in the 132-pound weight class, while Shabaz Henry earned a third-place finish in the 144-pound division.
