Sign the Petition: We Need to Stop Runaway Taxes Now

We the undersigned, adamantly oppose Mayor Harkins' proposed 2015 budget and demand the following actions by the Town Council:

> Conduct financial audit of the Water Pollution Control Authority. Make the results of the audit public to all town citizens.
> Freeze salaries and benefits of all non-union Town employees.
> Freeze the current mill rate. Implement alternative funding to taxation.
> Require the Mayor's office to enact fiscal budgetary measures that reduce General Fund expeditures, except the BoE 2015 budget.

The Mayor promised economic growth to mitigate taxes, but has failed to deliver after 4+ years. It's time for our elected officials to roll up their sleeves and create a budget that is responsible and fair to all citizens.
