Sikorsky Announces Layoffs for 150 Employees
Sikorsky's parent company made the announcement on Tuesday: BREAKING.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford-based Sikorsky Aircraft announced on Tuesday that it is laying off 150 employees from its rotary and mission systems' business line, according to NBC Connecticut.
NBC reports that 109 of the employees are based in Connecticut.
Sikorsky’s parent company Lockheed Martin announced the layoffs on Tuesday and a spokesman said the “difficult” action is “necessary to ensure we remain competitive in the marketplace, secure future business opportunities, and keep our infrastructure appropriately aligned with customer demands,” according to the New Haven Register.
