Sikorsky Sends Chopper to India on Demonstration Tour
The visiting S-92 helicopter will highlight the aircraft's multiple defense and commercial uses.
Sikorsky Aircraft has sent a helicopter and crew to Asia on an S-92 Legacy of Heroes demonstration tour, in due to budget reductions from the U.S. Department of Defense.
Avionic Intelligence, an aerospace industry online newsletter, reported recently that the Sikorsky S-92 helicopter and six-man crew would visit five cities in India: Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi and Mumbai.
Cabins for the S-92 helicopter are manufactured in Hyderabad, according to the article.

The tour would highlight the aircraft’s use for search and rescue, transportation, coastal surveillance, emergency medical transport and VIP transportation.
