Sikorsky: Yes, We're Staying in Stratford

In the wake of General Electric's decision to leave the state, Sikorsky Aircraft confirms its commitment to Connecticut.

Amid concerns of more businesses leaving the state in the wake of GE’s decision to bolt from Fairfield for Boston, Sikorsky Aircraft says it’s staying in Stratford, according to the Stratford Star.

Sikorsky’s future in Stratford and in the state has been a topic ever since it was sold by United Technologies to Maryland-based Lockheed Martin Corp last July.

Soon after the sale was announced, the new owner said it planned on staying in Stratford and keeping the iconic name and a Sikorsky spokesman has confirmed that’s still the case.
