Stanziale's Is Closed, But You Can Own A Piece Of The Restaurant
The Stratford restaurant closed in June, but you can still take home its chandeliers or 60-inch pizza oven.

STRATFORD, CT — Stanziale's Banquet Room closed earlier this summer, but it's not too late to take home a piece of the Stratford restaurant. The venue will host a going-out-of-business auction Thursday. The event is open to the public.
Stanziale's, which closed June 30, offered lunch and dinner, as well as catering and daily entertainment. It was also an event space and hosted weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, fundraisers and more.
"We cannot thank each and every one of you enough for the past 10 years of business," Don and Kim Stanziale stated in a post on the restaurant's Facebook page the day Stanziale's closed.

Items up for auction include unusual finds such as a 60-quart mixer with bowl and attachments, a 60-inch double decker pizza oven, a 10-by-12 walk-in cooler and freezer, and a 10-burner gas range. Chandeliers, light fixtures and sconces will also be available for auction, as will large numbers of more typical kitchen and serving items such as pots, pans and flatware.
The auction will take place at 1 p.m. at the former restaurant, 595 Main St., according to a calendar posting on Patch. Inspection and registration starts at 11 a.m. Payment will be accepted via cash or cashier's checks only. All items that are purchased must be removed by 4 p.m. Saturday.
