Stratford 4th Of July Fireworks 2022 Details Announced

Officials announce parking and traffic patterns that will be in effect for the fireworks display.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford’s annual Independence Day Fireworks display will be held Thursday, June 30 at Short Beach, Mayor Laura R. Hoydick announced.

The display will begin at sundown, approximately 9 p.m. The rain date will be Tuesday, July 5.

Parking will be available at Short Beach Park and will be restricted all day to those with Stratford resident parking stickers. If you are a Stratford resident and do not have a current Stratford resident parking sticker, there is still time to get one (visit here).

TRAFFIC FLOW FOR THE FIREWORKS EVENT

  • Vehicles exiting Short Beach Park will be directed to use both lanes of Dorne Drive to exit the parking lot. The right-hand lane will be directed to turn Right onto Main Street and the left lane will be directed to turn Left onto Stratford Road.
  • The north or right lane (yellow line) will be directed northbound on Main Street and then westbound onto Access Road.
  • The South or left lane (blue line) will be directed to turn left onto Stratford Road, Right onto Prospect Road, Left onto Oak Bluff, Right onto Lordship Boulevard. Traffic will not be allowed Westbound on Access Road at Lordship Boulevard once the Fireworks show has ended for approximately 30 minutes.
  • All vehicles using the three parking lots (Deluca Field, Honeywell Lot and North Lot) located on Main Street north of Access Road, will be directed to turn right (northbound) when exiting said lots.

IMPORTANT! Lordship Residents, there may be some delays driving into Lordship after the Fireworks show ends and until traffic exiting Short Beach Park returns to normal. It is strongly advised that Lordship residents and anyone looking to come into Lordship plan accordingly.
