Stratford Advances to U19 American Legion Baseball Super Regionals

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford took another step toward capturing the U19 American Legion baseball championship by sweeping Bethel in a best 2-out-of-3 series Wednesday and Thursday.

Seeded third in the Southern Division, Stratford posted 3-2 and 4-3 victories to advance to the Super Regionals, beginning Saturday.

Other teams advancing from the Southern Division were Waterbury, Stamford and Cheshire, while Tolland, Avon, Rocky Hill-Cromwell-Portland and New London qualified from the Northern Division.
