Stratford Baseball Beats Darien In Season Opener

The Red Devils will take on Brookfield in the home opener on Wednesday at Penders Field.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford High School baseball team opened the season with a 3-2 victory over Darien on the road on Saturday.

Brady Knorr pitched a complete-game three-hitter to earn the win for Stratford. He struck out 10 and didn’t walk a batter. Knorr also drove in two runs on two sacrifice flies.

Ronnie Kerkes had two hits, two runs scored and two stolen bases, while J.J. Romatzik also had an RBI for the Red Devils.

Stratford will face Brookfield Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Penders Field to open the home season.
