Stratford Basketball Wins Thriller Over Immaculate
The Stratford boys basketball team will square off against town rival Bunnell on Friday night.
STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford High School boys basketball team won a hard-fought battle against Immaculate, 48-45, at home on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils (8-3) trailed by seven after the first quarter and wrangled with the Mustangs all game. Jayquan Kirkland hit the front end of a 1-and-1 to give the Red Devils a three-point lead with 2 seconds left on the clock.
Immaculate's last chance 3-pointer missed the mark.

Brady Knorr led Stratford with 17 points, while Mike Olivencia added 13 points and Kirkland finished with nine points.
Mike Ianetta led Immaculate with 23 points.

Stratford will face cross-town rival Bunnell on Friday night at Bunnell.
Stratford 64, Pomperaug 57: The Red Devils got off to a fast start in Friday’s home game against Pomperaug, leading by nine points at the end of the first quarter and never trailing against the Panthers.
Stratford had three players in double figures. Brady Knorr led the way with 25 points, while Jayquan Kirkland added 19 and Mike Olivencia finished with 14.
Arik Deegan led Pomperaug with 28 points and Connor Burns added 16 points.
