All Stratford beaches are open for swimming, officials announced.

UPDATE: All Stratford beaches are open for swimming, the Stratford Health Department announced in an update on Thursday afternoon.

(Original post) STRATFORD, CT — All Stratford beaches are closed for swimming until Friday, July 10, due to heavy rainfall of 3 inches, pending no more weather events, according to the Stratford Health Department.

“The Health Department will be testing the water tomorrow and if the results are favorable they may be opened earlier,” officials wrote in a post on Facebook on Tuesday morning.
