CIAC Playoff Implications are on the line with season nearing its end. Both teams inspired to be at their best in this clash.

The Stratford Brakettes women's fast pitch softball organization will once again show their community pride by airing the Stratford High School Girls Basketball Team versus the Bunnell Bulldog Girls Basketball Team this Wednesday night at 6:30 on brakettes.com live from Stratford High School.

Stratford's daily media outlet, The Stratford Patch, who has partnered with the Brakettes in the past will again partner in this venture providing a live feed of this game on their website.

The Stratford Brakettes are known worldwide as the greatest women's fastpitch softball team. They play their home games at DeLuca Hall of Fame Field located at 1000 Main St. from June through August.

Baird is continuing what his late father, Mr. Robert Baird, always wanted - to have local Stratford sports coverage in a televised venue. Mr. Robert Baird passed away on December 31st, 2022.

The game will be the second meeting between these two clubs with Stratford taking the first game on December 21st, at Bunnell, by a score of 54-24. But that was then, always keeping in mind anytime these two schools get together in any sport you can expect the unexpected.

Stratford does have playoff implications on the line in this one needing two wins in their final two games. Bunnell has a chance to ruin those hopes with a win.

Stratford’s final regulation season game will be against Notre Dame-Fairfield at Notre Dame on Tuesday February 13th.

Bunnell has two home games left after visiting Stratford, one on Friday February 9th against Bassick and one against Bethel on Tuesday February 13th.

The final home game for Stratford will also be the final regular season home game for the Stratford seniors and as a tradition the seniors will be honored for both teams.

The brakettes.com stream plans on covering the senior night festivities scheduled to begin at 6:15. Once the senior recognition concludes live play by game coverage with Will Gallagher will take place.

In addition to streaming the local Stratford sports scene in 2024 the Brakettes also have discussed, with town officials, a week-long summer fastpitch softball camp exclusively for girls sometime in July. Once final details have been made the Brakettes will announce them via the Stratford Patch and on their website.
