Stratford Coronavirus Update: 14 Dead, 281 Confirmed Cases

Three additional deaths and 16 more confirmed cases of the virus were reported Tuesday in Stratford.

STRATFORD, CT — As of Tuesday, 14 Stratford residents have died after contracting the new coronavirus, according to an email from the mayor's office. Tuesday's number marked an increase of three reported deaths since Monday.

"Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the families and loved ones of those lost in our community," Mayor Laura Hoydick said in Tuesday's email to residents.

There were 281 confirmed cases of the virus as of Tuesday in Stratford, up 16 cases compared to Monday.

Statewide, there were 13,989 confirmed cases across Connecticut as of Tuesday, 671 of which were associated with a patient death, according to state data.
