Stratford Coronavirus Update: 2 More Deaths, 29 New Cases

Stratford now has more than 300 residents who have tested positive for the new coronavirus.

STRATFORD, CT — Two more Stratford residents were reported Thursday to have died after contracting the new coronavirus, according to an email from the mayor's office, bringing the total number of fatalities in town to 19.

Confirmed cases also went up Thursday, from 297 to 326 day-over-day, Mayor Laura Hoydick confirmed in an email to residents.

The statewide virus totals as of Thursday reached 15,884 confirmed cases — up more than 1,000 cases since Wednesday — and 971 deaths, according to the state.
