Stratford Coronavirus Update: 30 Total Deaths In Town
As of Friday, 62 percent of Stratford residents who had contracted the virus were recovered or recovering and 6 percent had died.
STRATFORD, CT — Stratford had seen a total of 30 deaths associated with the new coronavirus and 477 confirmed virus cases as of Friday, according to an email from the mayor's office. The town had one additional virus-associated death and nine new confirmed cases in town day-over-day, Friday's email from the office of Mayor Laura Hoydick said.
As of Friday afternoon in Stratford, 62 percent of residents who had contracted the virus were recovered or recovering, 9 percent were ill, another 6 percent were hospitalized and 6 percent had died, the email said, while 17 percent were unreachable.
Across Connecticut as of Friday, there were 23,921 confirmed cases of the virus and 1,764 state residents had died after contracting the disease, according to state data. The number of virus patients hospitalized statewide dropped Friday by 70 people, to 1,877 hospitalizations.
