Robert Stephen Siksay Jr., 73, died March 1, 2026. A U.S. Navy Vietnam-era veteran who worked for many years as a manager at United Rentals, coached Stratford Pony Baseball, was an avid fan of the New York Mets and New York Jets, and enjoyed history, current events, and hosting monthly trivia game nights.

Johanna (Salamone) Plaitis, 67, died March 10, 2026. She enjoyed gardening—especially tending rose bushes and a vegetable garden—cooking large family meals, traveling to beaches, visiting casinos, playing bingo, attending horse racing events in Saratoga, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Terceño, 88, died March 11, 2026. A 1959 graduate of Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing who worked as an RN supervisor at Park Avenue Health Care Center after raising her family, she volunteered as a Girl Scout leader and school nurse, and enjoyed beaches and sunsets, singing in a chorus, and crafts including ceramics, knitting, drawing, and painting.

Cornelius P. Shea (“Connie”), 95, died March 11, 2026. He was a U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran and member of the National Association of Atomic Veterans who worked more than 39 years for the United Illuminating Company, retiring in 1994 as a supervisor, and was active with the UI Jewel Club, Our Lady of Peace Church, the Lordship Father’s Club, and the Gaelic-American Club.

Charlotte Bauer Severance, 101, died March 13, 2026. A graduate of Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing, she cared for many patients over her broad career which included Bridgeport Hospital, convalescent homes, Stratford Visiting Nurses, and 3030 Park where she retired as Director of Nursing.

Donald E. LaReau, 81, died March 13, 2026. He was a retired carpenter with Carpenters Union Local #326, U.S. Army Vietnam combat veteran with the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment “Jumping Mustangs,” longtime attendee of unit reunions, and a member and former commander of VFW Post #7788.
