Stratford Dog Owner Charged After Vet Contacts Cops

The man's three dogs were showing extreme signs of neglect and one of them had to be euthanized.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man is charged with animal cruelty after a veterinarian contacted police and reported the man's three dogs were showing extreme signs of neglect, according to the Connecticut Post. Thomas Provenzano is set to appear in court Oct. 2. Police were contacted Aug. 20 after Provenzano, 59, took his dogs to a groomer, who then brought the animals to the veterinarian, according to the Post. One of the dogs was in such poor health she had to be euthanized.
