Stratford Firefighter Taken to Hospital Following Fire on Success Avenue

The firefighter was treated for minor burns to the face on Friday night.

A Stratford firefighter was treated for minor burns to the face following a fire on Success Avenue on Friday night, according to WFSB 3.

WFSB reports that the fire started at about 8:45 p.m. at 594 Success Ave. in an unoccupied storage area, which is on the second floor above businesses and eateries.

The fire was fast moving and caused the roof to collapse into the second floor and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within 45 minutes, according to WFSB.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
