Stratford Gets Best of Bunnell in Annual Flag Football Clash
The game features the top senior female athletes from both schools.
Led by four touchdown runs from Sarah Wright, the Stratford girls’ flag football team defeated rival Bunnell 54-36 in the town’s annual clash between the schools’ top senior female athletes.
Wright finished with touchdown runs of 69, 25, 74 and 84 yards, while Genesis Torres scored twice and added three 2-point conversion runs, according to the Stratford Star.
Rose Mwambyi and Sirette Vincenty scored two touchdowns apiece to lead Bunnell.

The Star reports 2,100 people attended Monday night’s game at Bunnell. Proceeds from the game benefit the athletic department programs at both schools, according to the Star.
