Stratford Health Department Hosting Flu Clinic
The September Flu Clinic will be held at the Paradise Green Farmers Market.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford Health Department is hosting a flu clinic on Monday, Sept. 26, from 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the Paradise Green Farmers Market, Paradise Green between Main Street and Huntington Road.
The flu clinic is open to the public, town hall employees, and children.
“The best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu is by getting the flu vaccine every year,” Bernice Bova, RN Public Health Nursing Supervisor, said in a press release. “Don’t wait until it’s too late to fight the flu.”

No appointments are necessary for the September clinic at the Farmers Market. Vaccines will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Stratford Health Department offers the standard flu vaccine (ages 6 months and over) as well as the high dose vaccine (over 65 years of age). Parents or guardians must accompany their children.
Insurances accepted for the flu vaccines include Medicare Part B, Anthem BC/BS, Connecticare, Cigna and Aetna. We accept Medicaid for children only. We do NOT accept United Healthcare.
Children under the age of 5 and uninsured children between the ages of 5 and 18 can receive their flu vaccine for free. Those not covered by the insurance providers listed above will be charged a $36 fee for the standard flu vaccine and a $65 fee for the high dose vaccine, payable by cash or check. The pneumonia vaccine will also be available, which costs $190 if not covered by insurance.
