Stratford K-9 ‘Gunny’ and Officer Goode to Retire

K-9 Gunny and Officer Christopher Goode have been partners for seven years and will remain together in retirement, police said.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford Police Department held a retirement ceremony for one of its K-9 units on Thursday afternoon.

K-9 Gunny and Officer Christopher Goode have been partners for the past seven years and will retire, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.

“Gunny is a dual trained dog who is certified in narcotics detection and tracking,” Eannotti said in a statement. “Together they have assisted this town and multiple agencies. Gunny, who is 9 years old, will remain with his handler in retirement.”
