Stratford Man Accused of Raping 11-Year-Old Girl

A Stratford man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl in her home, according to the Connecticut Post.

David Herrera, 20, of Harding Ave. was charged with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. He was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

The Post reports that the girl recently told a teacher about the alleged assault.

Herrera, a friend of the girl’s family, has denied the allegations and contended that she must have overheard him having sex with his girlfriend, according to the Post.
