Stratford Man Arrested For Allegedly Stealing From Elderly Client

Joseph DelGardo, 52, was a caregiver for North Haven person, faces larceny charges following arrest.

North Haven police have arrested a Stratford man for allegedly stealing from an elderly person he was a caregiver for.

Joseph DelGardo, 52, of 1141 South Ave. in Stratford, was arrested July 28 on charges of fifth-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny.

According to police, DelGardo is accused of illegally using checking account information belonging to the person he was caring for.

Police said DelGardo used this information to make telephone payments to pay his own bills. He is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Aug. 7.
