Stratford Man Charged With Murder
The suspect was arrested in connection to the shooting death of a 19-year-old in September.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Stratford man has been charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of a 19-year-old Bridgeport resident in September, according to the Connecticut Post.
The Post reports Lonnie Mebane, 53, was arrested at his Masarik Avenue home in Stratford on Wednesday night and is being held on a $1 million bond.
Mebane is accused of shooting Eric Diaz, of Bridgeport, during a robbery that occurred when Diaz entered his car to sell drugs to him, according to the Post. Diaz was found on a street corner after being shot in the stomach on Sept. 14 and later died at a hospital.
