Stratford Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Bridgeport: Police
The crash occurred Thursday night at the intersection of Housatonic Avenue and Wells Street.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 37-year-old Stratford man was killed Thursday night when the motor scooter he was operating was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Housatonic Avenue and Wells Street in Bridgeport, according to police.
"A preliminary investigation determined a 44-year-old male was operating a white 2022 Toyota Camry bearing a NY registration traveling north on Housatonic Avenue and attempted to turn left onto Wells Street," wrote Bridgeport Police Capt. Lonnie Blackwell, M.S., in a statement. "He collided with a Italica Motor Scooter RX 150 which was traveling south on Housatonic Ave. being operated by a 37-year-old male from Stratford."
The identity of the victim was not released, but next of kin were notified.

He was found unresponsive and lying face down in the street, when Bridgeport fire personnel arrived and began performing life-saving techniques. An American Medical Response ambulance transported the man to St. Vincent's Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries at 10:57 p.m.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene; the crash is under investigation by the Bridgeport Police Serious Crash Team.
