Stratford Memorial Day Parade 2026 Route, Road Closure
The parade is presented by Raymond T. Goldbach VFW Post 9460.
STRATFORD, CT — In an update on Saturday regarding the Memorial Day Parade, Mayor David Chess that if it rains, Raymond T. Goldbach VFW Post 9460 will “unfortunately have to cancel the event due to unavoidable circumstances and will notify everyone on Monday morning.”

- The ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at Academy Hill, and the parade will begin at noon.
- The parade route will be northbound on Main Street from Academy Hill to Paradise Green.

Goldbach VFW Post 9460 for presenting the parade to honor and remember the courageous men and women of the United States military and civilians who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms, including from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines," Chess wrote.

The ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at Academy Hill, and the parade begins at 12 noon.
The parade route will be northbound on Main Street from Academy Hill to Paradise Green, according to police.
“As in years past, Main Street will be CLOSED with NO THROUGH TRAFFIC as the parade goes by,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Northbound Main St. access will be PAST Paradise Green - Southbound Main St. access will be PAST Stratford Ave.”
