Niche.com has ranked the best towns, along with the best suburbs, to raise a family in Connecticut.

Niche.com has ranked the “Best Towns to Raise A Family” in Connecticut and Stratford landed in seventh place.
The website also ranked the “Best Towns to Raise A Family” in the United States and West Hartford was the only Connecticut town to crack the top 100 at No. 27.
Niche.com notes that “Towns” in its rankings exclude suburbs and cities with more than 100,000 residents. The website also ranked “Best Suburbs” for families.

The report takes into account key family-centered factors, such as public education, safety, community involvement, and access to family necessities, in an attempt to holistically measure how good an area is for families. Read more about the methodology here.
Here’s how Stratford was graded in the Connecticut ranking: a B- for crime and safety, a B- for education, a B- for housing, and an A- for community.
