Stratford Schools: No Credible Threat After Social Media Messages
Stratford Public Schools said Thursday there is "no credibility of immediate threat" to district buildings.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford Public Schools said Thursday there is "no credibility of immediate threat" to district buildings after messages posted on TikTok threatened schools nationwide.
In a message sent to district families, superintendent Dr. Uyi Osunde said administrators will "remain in close contact" with law enforcement.
"While I do not anticipate new information overnight, if anything of concern does emerge you are encouraged to contact our police department with the specific concern," Osunde said.

The threats posted on social media spoke of violence at schools across the U.S. on December 17.

The Connecticut Intelligence Center has been investigating and monitoring the social media trend, but the center has not yet identified any specific or credible threats to any schools within Connecticut.
