STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford boys basketball team held off a comeback attempt by the Bethel Wildcats to win 56-52 and advance to the semifinals of the SWC tournament.
The Red Devils dominated the second quarter and outscored Bethel 19-2 to take a 20-point lead into halftime.
The Wildcats chipped away at the lead, but Stratford held on for the victory.

Jayquan Kirkland led Stratford with 21 points, while Jzhuan Davis added 15.
