WALLINGFORD, CT — A Stratford woman was recently arrested in connection with the theft of a Lexus in Fairfield that was found in Wallingford, according to police.

Wallingford officers found the Lexus in the parking lot and stopped the male suspect as he was walking through the parking lot and trying to put items into the stolen vehicle, according to Jaques.

Officers detained the man, who Jaques said provided them with a fake name. Officers also found “evidence of narcotics” on the man, according to Jaques.

Jaques said the man quickly became “lethargic and seemed to be losing consciousness.” He was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation, according to Jaques.

During the investigation, officers found that the man was with a female suspect, Jaques said. The woman was found and detained at Citgo at 326 South Colony Rd., according to Jaques.

Jaques said the woman, who was trying to solicit rides from passing motorists, also initially provided officers with a fake name.

Both suspects were arrested in connection with the stolen vehicle, according to Jaques.

Jessica Lynn Petrino, 29, with a last known address of Second Hill Lane in Stratford, also had two active arrest warrants, Jaques said. She was charged with interfering with an officer, larceny of a motor vehicle, and conspiracy to commit larceny of a motor vehicle. She was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond with a court date of March 1.

The man was later identified as 59-year-old Eric Woodson, with a last known address of Elm Street in New Haven, according to Jaques. He was charged with interfering with an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, larceny of a motor vehicle, and conspiracy to commit larceny of a motor vehicle. He was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond with a court date of March 1.
