The Stratford Library has announced that Stratford native Alyson Cahill will be a guest performer as this year’s annual fundraiser, “Good Vibrations”. It will be Cahill’s first appearance at the Library benefit which is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 beginning at 6:30 pm.
Alyson Cahill is an arts educator and performer currently based in Norwalk who was born and raised in Stratford. She spent her childhood and teenage years receiving vocal training and performing experience throughout the community. She received her B.A. in Music Theater from The American University in Washington, DC. While in college, Cahill performed lead roles on campus mainstage musicals and workshopped a brand new musical at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage. Upon moving to New York City after graduation, Cahill became a staff member at TADA! Youth Theatre, a professional theater company dedicated to providing musical theater education to children from all backgrounds. Through TADA!, she rediscovered her love of teaching and soon pursued a Masters degree in Educational Theatre from City College of New York.
