Street Flooding Reported In Stratford
Officials are advising motorists to avoid the flooded areas if possible.

STRATFORD, CT —Town officials are reporting some street flooding as a result of the storm. Officials say due to driving rain and high winds there is some street flooding in town and Main Street, adjacent to Sikorsky Memorial Airport, has 2-3 inches of water.
Officials are encouraging motorists to avoid the area if possible.
In a 12:30 p.m. update, officials said trees and limbs are down in some locations due to high winds and “Public Works is addressing all as they occur.”

“There is some flooding along Shoreline Drive due to the tidal surge,” according to a post on the Stratford Town Hall Facebook page. “Flooding on Short Beach Drive, and continuing at Main Street at the airport. West Broad and Surf also experiencing flooding. Flooding is expected to recede within the next hour. Until then, motorists are advised to avoid these locations if possible.”
