Terror Concerns Halt Stratford Overseas Trips

Stratford school officials have canceled all trips that were scheduled for travel outside of the contiguous United States.

In the wake of the Paris attacks and other terrorist concerns, Stratford school officials have canceled overseas trips that were planned for April, according to the Stratford Star.

The Star reports Bunnell and Stratford high school students had a planned trip to Europe from April 7 to April 15 in which they would have visited Paris and Nice in France, Rome and Florence in Italy and Vatican City.

Parents were notified in a letter signed by both high school principals on Nov. 24 that all of the trips scheduled for travel outside of the contiguous United States have been canceled.
