Marco Barone expects Powerball ticket sales will begin to pickup this afternoon as word spreads that the jackpot for tonight's drawing has jumped to $360 million.
Barone, a Shelton resident, is the owner of Lighthouse Liquor, which is located at Ryder's Landing in Stratford, just off the Merritt Parkway.
He said tickets can be purchased up until 10 p.m., but Lighthouse is only open till 9 p.m.
It would be nice if the winning jackpot ticket was sold at his store, he said.
"If it's meant to be it will be," he said.
