Two Roads Brewing Giving Discounts To Help Restaurants Reopen
"We want to help our customers get back up and running, so they can bring more of their staff back sooner."
STRATFORD, CT — Two Roads Brewing Co. has announced an initiative to help Connecticut restaurants recover after weeks of closures due to the coronavirus outbreak by offering a “Back On The Road” discount on a selection of its products.
The virus, which is associated with more than 3,800 Connecticut deaths in less than three months, resulted in restaurants shuttering their dining rooms for about two months under state order. Restaurants reopened last week at 50 percent capacity for outdoor dining only.
"The shutdown has been a rough ride for retailers, and for some time it will remain so because their seating capacity will be restricted for safety reasons," Director of Sales Ben Iaderosa said in a news release from the Stratford brewery. "We want to help our customers get back up and running, so they can bring more of their staff back sooner. To support this end, from June 1 until July 31, Two Roads is providing deep discounts on our most popular, fresh draft offerings."

The brewery has talked with many of its restaurant customers about the challenges they face as restrictions begin to lift, according to the news release. Two Roads is also working with its distributors to split the cost of refunding retailers for draft beer that is no longer fresh enough for sale.
