Unclaimed $4M Lottery Winner Sold In Stratford

Lottery officials are reminding players to check their tickets to see if they are a winner.

STRATFORD, CT — A winning Connecticut Lottery ticket worth $4 million was sold in Stratford for the Mega Millions drawing on Tuesday, according to Lottery officials.

The prize hasn’t been claimed yet, and officials are reminding players to check their tickets to see if they are a winner.

The winning Mega Millions ticket was sold at Stratford Cigar & Smoke Shop at 2340 Broadbridge Avenue.

To timely claim a prize, on or before a ticket's expiration date, go to a CT Lottery Retailer or Lottery Headquarters where the Retailer or the Lottery will validate your ticket through their terminal. Please note: All draw game prizes expire and must be claimed within 180 calendar days from the date of the drawing. Fast Play prizes expire and must be claimed 180 calendar days from the date the ticket was purchased. The ticket date and time of purchase is located in the upper right-hand corner of every ticket.

Lottery officials said to claim the prize, the winner can go to any CT Lottery retailer to have the ticket validated through a registered terminal, or call (860) 713-2680 to schedule an appointment to come directly to CT Lottery Headquarters at 777 Brook St. in Rocky Hill.
